First trial of my design:
F I N A L D E S I G N.
In our last practical lesson Annie completed her first trial of my design.
I really like the colours and they way they are blended together and came out. However, at the beginning of the design i couldn't decide whether i wanted to trial it with a white base of skin colour to make the design more modern. In the end we decided to practice with a white base as then if i didn't like it skin colour would be easier to achieve in the final look. I was reluctant to try white base because of my skin colour being quite tanned. I wanted the look to be natural and i feel like after Annie had completed the look with a white base i was not happy with the outcome as it felt as if it made the look seem like a mask or face paint.
After the look was completed i really liked Annie's blending technique and the way we adapted the look to have a deep purple to light purple ombre lip as well as the incorporation of my brows. However after applying the white base and letting it dry the makeup base began to look cracked and i wasn't happy with the outcome because of this as my skin is quite dry and the supra colour just set into all the fine lines on my face and created a really horrible texture on my face. To change this we later decided to remove the white base to see what it would look like and i personally think the look was instantly better even though it wasn't the neatest blending. I just wanted to wipe the white base off to test it and i think it looked a lot better so next time i trial the look i will create a full coverage foundation underneath the red blending in the design rather that white base.

Overall i think the initial design was a success and looks much better without the white base on the skin. I think when this look is properly trialled and executed with a foundation base it will look very cohesive and pretty. I think Annie did a good job because i was so indecisive i kept changing what i wanted but she tried to work as best as she could to my constantly changing instruction and ideas. I definitely like the eyebrows in my look and the lip as well. I would like to try this look with a golden colour just to see what it would look like as i think it could look very intense and pretty.
