Self Evaluation.
Having never had a project brief based on a period makeup look I was very apprehensive to begin this project. However after having designed my look and practicing with my partner I have become very confident with the final look I created for Annie. The Lady in waiting lectures really inspired my design and spurred my look on to create a look based on the brief of 'New Elizabethan' while still taking elements from traditional Elizabethan makeup.
On a few occasions I couldn't come in to some of the lessons because of a personal issue which I think made Annie a little nervous for her design. However we rescheduled practices for different times and practiced many times, which then allowed Annie and I to gain confidence in each others designs as well as helping us to create a close bond so that we could easily give each other constructive criticism which helped us in our designs.
I really enjoyed practicing and creating a design that wasn't designed by me as I have never done this before. I am really happy with how Annie's design came out in the final assessment as I practiced it a lot to perfect it and it really challenged my abilities as a makeup artist.
Overall I think I really pushed myself to be creative in this project as well as learning more about being professional when in a makeup artist role and a models role and how the two work together in the industry.
