Inspirations:
Christian Dior:
Haute Couture A/W 2011.
I love the eyebrows in these images and the strength and power that they create. The model has an heir of confidence and these eyebrows coated in large sequins and sparkles add a dimension to the face that i quite like. I also like the off red/ orange lips that are still prominent on the face. However i don't like that these models are wearing fake eyelashes as i do not want to incorporate that into my look.
Christian Lacroix:
Haute couture 2007.
I like the bare faced/ natural makeup look with neutral tones in the eyes and not mascara or eyeliner.
The embellishments give a regality to the images which inspires me. I may look into using similar features and items of clothing in my ideas. I like that they eyes are the main focus of these make looks and the cheeks are blushed red yet the skin is pale - but not a deathly white. I am definitely sure that for my makeup look i do not want white skin.
Vivienne Westwood:
London Fashion Week 2010.
I like the bleached out eyebrows of this look with the pink rather than red features added to the face. It creates a sort of innocence with the model i like a lot and includes a highlighted cheek bone that i really like. On another note i also really like the two different tones in the hair styles as i think it create a very different and dynamic look while adding texture and dimension to the face.
Tim Walker:
Tim walker is a haute couture visionary fashion photographer. I chose his images as inspiration for my final makeup looks as i think a lot of his images take influence from historical periods in time where the makeup of eras such as the Elizabethan era. However i feel as if these looks have been modernised to almost a deconstructed and broken historical level which i quite like. i think the makeup looks are so varied and interesting.
